Welcome to the official homepage for the Ecartis Listserver / Mailing List Manager. Ecartis is a open-source (GNU License) software package that administers mailing lists (similar to Majordomo and Listserv). Take a look at Ecartis' feature list, and see the advantages it has over other similar Listserver packages. (anti-spam hooks, ability to strip down MIME messages and remove their attachments, virtual hosts, just to name a few). Go to the download page to give Ecartis a try!

Outside user code submissions are welcomed, as well. We would love it if other people felt interested enough in this project to contribute code or documentation or anything. :)

Patching more buffer overflows | 2003/08/20 -- TARDIS

Thanks to Matt of the Long Red Hair, we now have some documentation available. We know this has been the one area where Ecartis has been sorely lacking, so hopefully this is one step in filling that gap.

NOTICE: Security bug is LSG/2 | 2003/02/28 -- TARDIS
The Ecartis Core Team has been made aware of a design flaw in LSG/2 (The web interface to Ecartis) where a person could change the password to access the web interface of any other user. This has been fixed in CVS and is in the latest snapshot. NOTE: This ONLY affects sites that use LSG/2.

New Ecartis web site launched | 2002/09/07 -- TARDIS
We are finally launching the new website for Ecartis, and retiring the old listar.org domain/web presence (as you may find that it's no longer reachable).

cvs.ecartis.org move & restoral of CVSweb access | 2001/11/22 -- TARDIS
cvs.ecartis.org was successfully relocated from the Netherlands to a box here in the US, and as a bonus, a web server and CVSweb was installed on the same box, so Ecartis now has CVSweb access again. (it was previously lost in the disk crash of 2000)
